SGI EduCare support program

2001 July 1 news: SGI EduCare replaces the services portion of the Varsity Program, effective 2001 August 1. EduCare Support service brief (PDF).

In contrast to the Varsity support program of the past, SGI owners at GW should purchase their own hardware and software care for each of their SGI workstations.

I recommend creating a Supportfolio account, it will entitle you to on-line access of software maintenance releases and patches, license keys and requesting support.

IRIX admins should check my software distributions for free software not included in the SGI freeware release.

Those developing software for IRIX should consider joining the SGI Worldwide Developers Program, membership is free. GWU faculty and staff should talk to me to be included in an existing membership.

GWU EduCare Support List

An on-line archive of the list is at https://mail.ncac.gwu.edu/Lists/EduCare/List.html. You need to be subscribed to access the archive.

When prompted for a username and password, your e-mail address is the username and your confirmation number is the password. To have the confirmation number sent to you, send a blank message to EduCare-confirm@ncac.gwu.edu
