3. volloc -y volume
4. volformat volume
5. volstat volume

Replacing an old tape in the system

1. volcomp volumenumber
2. volloc volumenumber
3. voldelete volumenumber
4. mediamove slot m1 0
5. Follow the load new tape procedure, by doing this immediately, the volume will have the same number as the one that was removed.
